Location: La Garita, CO
Trials Master: Keith & Kevin Busch
Pre-Registration will open May 1, 2024 – check back for a link and updates!
This is a very remote location approximately 20 miles off pavement, in the Rio Grande National Forrest 11,000 feet above sea level. Gorgeous views of the surrounding valleys are available should the weather cooperate. This is truly a classic, rugged Ute Cup location.
Colorado OHV Tags and Spark Arrestors are REQUIRED. We will not have any OHV tags available on site. You may purchase out-of-state tags at this LINK. Most likely, you will not receive the tags in time, but as long as you carry a printed receipt with you on the bike, you should be fine.
What is the Ute Cup?
If not familiar, the Ute Cup is a unique two-day trials event hosted in the alpine terrain of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. It features an epic loop trail sometimes more than 25 miles – usually parts of the loop go above treeline (11,000-12,000 feet of elevation). Sections do not contain splits/gates – all competitors ride the same line following the tape. The difficulty may be described as upper-intermediate to advanced (depending upon one’s local club class designations).
Completing the Ute Cup is a worthy accomplishment for both the rider and the machine – usually recognized with a finishing pin. Winning the Ute Cup puts one into a prestigious group.

** Conquer the West: … To “conquer” the west you must attend at least four of the seven events and participate in both days. The class you ride does not matter and how you place does not matter. Your goal is to travel, ride trials, have fun and meet new people! If you accomplish this goal you will receive a custom finisher’s jacket!
